Home Communion

The Diaconate would like to remind members and friends of Grace Church that our committee offers Home Communion to those who are unable to come to church. This service is available at any time upon request and can be arranged by calling the Church Office at 775-4301. We also regularly offer Home Communion on the first Sunday of October, December. March and June following the morning worship service where Communion has been celebrated. The next scheduled time will be March 1, 2009 and can be arranged by calling the Church Office. We encourage our Heart to Heart volunteers to keep this service in mind when making their visits. Upon receiving a request for Home Communion, a Deacon will call to arrange a convenient time.

Stephen Ministers

Our congregation’s Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.

A Stephen Minister is …..

A child of God who walks beside a person who is hurting

A congregation member with gifts for care giving who was carefully selected to serve in this role
A lay person who has received 50 hours of training in providing emotional and spiritual care

A caring, Christian friend who listens, cares, prays, supports, and encourages

Someone who will be there for his or her care receiver, meeting faithfully for about an hour each week for as long as there is a need

If you, or someone you know, needs the assistance of a Stephen Minister please contact either John Weatherhogg or Bob Giordano(775-4301).
